Mama goes on holiday Part II

After a day of walking, shopping, heights, penguins and a mini sleep in, we caught a tram to the Queen Victoria Market. We trawled shoes, clothes and jewellery. Bought a little, browsed a lot.

It was across the road from the market, in Victoria Street, that stumbled upon this amazing little boutique Madame Pompadour. The minute I walked into the small, florally adorned, lace filled store I found it hard to breathe. Purely because I was inundated with so much beauty. Have you ever walked into a store and wanted absolutely every single item to take away with you? This store was so cute that I just had to share it with you. I was still reeling in the hours after the hour I spent in there!

From here we walked into the heart of Melbourne and browsed Melbournes GPO, boutique and designer shopping at its best! The most amount of time was spent 'oooh-ing' and 'aaaah-ing' over wedding dresses in Brides of Melbourne. Every girls dream store, rows among rows of delicately beaded, laced and embellished wedding gowns. I could have spent forever in this store pirouetting in heels and trying on veils.

After far too much browsing of indulgent price tags it was time for the main event. The reason for my trip to Melbourne was to see the AFL with my Dad. I had purchased him and I both memberships for his birthday last year and had been promising a 'Father-Daughter' football game for a long time. We wore supporting beanies and hats, ate pies and drank Coke. It was perfect.

And that wraps up day two of three of 'Mama goes on Holiday'. Stay tuned for part III!
