The Wish List

Description of Photo
Are you a sucker for beautiful and innovative baby gear like me? Enjoy another of my wish-list posts; sharing with you all the current gear I am lusting over!

 * Fresco Chrome Highchair *
Bloom makes my heart beat faster, it's my ultimate favourite brand of the baby land. When I saw Blooms newest addition, a chrome look limited edition highchair I squealed in excitement. We have the gloss black version of the Fresco Loft chair and it is fantastic. It reaches our breakfast bar, matches the bar stools and its easy to clean. I can't wait to use it in the cradle position for daytime newborn lounging. Oh Fresco Chrome, wanna swap?

* Vintage Rose Playsuit *
This onesie by Rock Your Baby is the sweetest. Its girly without an overdose of pink and just perfect for days when PJ's need to be worn outside the house. Rock Your Baby have the coolest gear for babies and toddlers, their boys get-up is so hip; it has me wishing for a little boy someday!

* Plush Birdhouse Trio *
These birdhouses by Tamar Mogendorff are handcrafted with love and passion. They would make a beautiful nursery feature. Imagine a whole wall of these creations! I love the simplistic and modern fabrics used. So whimsical and imaginative!

* The Epi No *
Claiming to significantly reduce the risk of tearing during childbirth, this gadget has a lot to live up to. Apparently use during early pregnancy can help train the pelvic floor and use during later pregnancy can help prepare the perineum for the trauma that is natural childbirth. I am seriously wishing I had ordered this innovative device months and months ago.

* Snowflake Beanie by Pradus *
Every baby needs a winter warmer for blushed cheeks and toasty ears. I love this beanie by Pradus. Perfectly gender neutral and with extra long snow-flakey tassels to chew on. Having a winter baby is so much fun when designers like Pradus make such beautiful accessories, bring on the frosty morning walks!

* A wooden toy camera *
This toy camera is perfect for toddlers who like to be the centre of attention. I know Stella is always nagging at me for 'a photo'. This toy camera by Little Sapling Toys is unbreakable and chewable, making it ready to be tugged along to any outing!

* A Pretty Red Hair Bow *
No bow is too big and no shade of red is too vivid for baby girls! A big red bow is definitely on my wish list for my girls. This bow by Dots and Daisies has a colour co-ordinated foam grip ensuring it looks pretty all day long. No tugging and whinging with this comfy beauty!

The Wishlist

Description of Photo
Another week, another batch of baby goodies I have stumbled across! Here is what's topping the wishlist for the week...Enjoy!

* The Ubabub Pod *
Another highly innovative and modern cot, the Ubabub oozes awesome. I love the rounded cocoon shape and clear acrylic sides, making gazing at your sleeping babe even more enjoyable! Maybe if there is ever (key word being ever!) a baby #3, I would be lucky enough to indulge in this stunning design.

* Blouse and Pinafore by Vintage Made. *
Nothing screams sweet more than red and strawberries. This darling little blouse is sweeter than the real thing with teeny tiny printed berries and ruffled sleeves. Considering my love for the colour red on baby girls, I have deemed this beautiful little outfit totally necessary! And to add to the sweetness? It's handmade!

* Stokke Bounce 'n' Sleep *
Remember the times you tried to jump in the shower at the speed of light while your newborn was napping in the bassinet? The baby monitor sat on the bathroom sink and you jerked your shampoo lathered head out at the sound of a pin dropping? Well, those days are long gone. One of my favourite baby designers Stokke have bought out a new product; a combination of a bouncer and a daybed. Meaning you can transfer your sleeping baby from room to room while you tidy and organise or easily transition a playing and alert babe for restful, peaceful sleep. Stokke have done it again!

* Calamity Bolt Hobby Horse *
As a child I always wanted a pretty hobby horse and have taken my yearning further by searching for the perfect one for Stella and her baby sister to play with as they grow. Sadly, at markets I was unable to find anything that pleased the eye. And then I stumbled across This. These hobby horses are so feminine and soft and each design is one of a kind. They would look adorable in the corner of any little girls bedroom and would be sure to bring a smile to any childs day!

* Doodle Highchair by Silver Cross *
I am so sad to see that this product is now an end of line highchair. I am always a fan of convertible and re-usable baby products and this highchair is no exception. It changes from a feeding to chair to a table with a tray- perfect for doodling at with pretty coloured pencils. The hidden basket is a wonder design for toddlers who love to hide bits and pieces!

* The Three BFF Gnomes *
These little guys by Little Odd Forest are adorable. Handmade plushes that act as magical cushions for a little ones chair. I love the woodland touch these would provide to a nursery or playroom, I would imagine they'd even be invited to a play tea party or two! Best friends forever and totally cute for longer!

The Wish-list

winter love baby gear wishlist
*Drum-roll please*
Topping The Wish-List this week is...

Baby snuggler wrap by Window Friend Crafts. This wrap is not only beautifully patterned and in the most irresistible shade of mustard, but it is also micro-fleece lined; making it perfect for swaddling a winter baby. The velcro flaps make wrapping a wriggling newborn ready for bed just that little bit easier, not to mention that little bit more pretty!

Owl Leotard by Soft Gallery. Little girls in leotards doesn't have to be sickly sweet, it can be utterly fashionable and adorable. These owl leotards have serious style, I want one for all three of us girls in the house! (Good luck squeezing into that mama!)

The Phil and Teds Vibe. This is the stroller we have decided upon for carting around two busy beings. I love that it is super light and not large and bulky like some double strollers can be. The Vibe is easily transformed to accommodate a newborn and a toddler, two toddlers, or back to a single seat. It folds quickly and smoothly, and pushes like a dream. I've spent many minutes 'practicing' with this beauty in the store!

The Leander Cot. This cot is seriously dreamy, it is coming a close second with the Stokke on our ultimate cot wish-list. Again, it is multi-functional, meaning the need to purchase new furniture as the baby grows is diminished. The one bed is suitable from birth to older child and grows with them, creating a sense of security through childhood. I love the curved form and natural yet modern feel of the bed. Oh Leander, be mine!

The Breastmate. This breastfeeding timer is every mama's best mate. It displays and records the length and side of each feed and reminds you which side to start feeding on next. Perfect for a new mother in a sleepy, zombie state; it is a great way to keep track of your babies feeding patterns and demands, making the establishment of a routine (which we all are dying to achieve) just that little bit easier. You can hook your breastmate up to your computer and even track your babies feeding habits with a spreadsheet with graphs to highlight feeding patterns, this sounds like something this OCD mama would be totally in to. Added features include a room thermometer, alarm and clock. The only thing this little device doesn't do, is feed your baby for you!

Looking forward to sharing more drool-worthy gear for babes with you next week! If you are on Pinterest, you can also follow my 'Gear for Babes' board, pinning all things baby!

Baby Gear Wishlist; the perfect feeding basket

baby gear wishlist Winter Love
One of the things I didn't have during my first few weeks of being a feeding zombie with Stella, was a feeding basket. A pretty little way to store and carry around everything I may need at feed time. With feeding time also being toddler time once baby #2 is born, I will need to have everything at hand, easy to grab and ready to go; Breast pads, remote control, tissues, book, baby wipes, chocolate, a hand held mirror for unexpected knocks at the door and many, many more multi-purpose-time-saving goodies.

So to start off with, I have been trawling the shops, markets and Internet for that perfect feeding basket. I want something small and compact as well as mandatorily pretty and sweet. These are some of my favourites I have stumbled upon, although I am yet to make a decision (one of lifes hardest I'm sure!)

1. A sweet print and strong fabric. Fabric storage basket by Yk Bags.

2. Compartments for added organisation. Komplement storage by Ikea

3. This one would fit perfectly with our loungeroom decor, unfortunately I have no idea where to source it from! Any suggestions?

4. I love the look of this classic style. Hand woven storage basket by Tene Basket

5. Organisation and style, it looks like a winner! Fabric diaper caddy by Hip Baby Boutique

Did you have a feeding basket to help you through the newborn weeks? What did you have in your little supply? Did you find it useful? Filling the basket will be next on the list!

The Wish-list

I get a little overexcited about baby gear. I love discovering new and modern gadgets, furniture and gear for babes, and over time have created quite an extensive wishlist. A new feature here on Winter Love is called The Wish-list, sharing with you some baby gear that I am literally drooling over. Gear that has me itching to take out a personal loan and keeping me awake at night. You know the feeling right?

Here are some things that are currently topping The Wish-list.
Enjoy!

The Stokke Sleepi cot. This convertible nursery bed transforms from a bassinet, to a cot, to a junior bed. So not only is it pretty, it's useful and a wise investment (as I keep telling Nick). Baby #2 will be spending the first six months sleeping in our room until we move house, so we need something that is small and compact yet we don't necessarily wish to make numerous purchases as our baby grows.

The Miyo hammock. This purchase however would be totally impractical and purely beautiful. It can only be used for the first few months while baby is unable to roll and move (however, it claims to be suitable for up to 9 months?) It does come with big, enticing promises such as 95% of babies will be asleep within ten minutes of being placed in the hammock, I am definitely feeling tempted.

The First Steps rug. This rug by Bug Rugs has teeny tiny little footprints embedded into it. It's so simple and sweet. A perfect nursery addition!

Crocs Chameleons. These crocs magically change colour in the sun, perfect for a summers day at the park and for throwing on before heading to the pool, I love the 'Shirley' design for its girly appeal and slimline look, no chunky dreaded clogs here!

Alex and Charli Love Birds tee. I love red on baby girls, and nothing is sweeter than red and little birdies. This shirt is only $10 right now, what a steal. If only they made a baby girls size and a big girls size; matching sisters! I'm not sure yet if that would be adorable or strange!

What baby gear goodies are you currently lusting over? Anything new and amazing you'd like to share?
