Babys got teeth.

Teeth. We can't wait until they appear yet curse the troubles they bring with them. It seems teething is more distressing for parents than it is children, after all they have no memory of the horrible ordeal. I hear some parents boasting about how trouble-free their teething experience was, and I am always very skeptical of the truth in their stories.

When it comes to teething relief there is so much conflicting information out there, some advocate natural therapies, some swear by panadol, some recommend not altering the routine, others recommend extra comfort. We all know the mantra "Do what works for you", and teething is no different.

This is where you come in! I'd like to hear from my readers regarding teething, I want to know all your tips and tricks, no matter how weird and wacky, no matter how conventional or unconventional. Be it old wives tales or medically approved remedies. Once I have gathered enough "this is what works for me's", I'd like to share them with you all. A post that all mothers (or fathers) can find and use to provide them with different suggestions for their grizzling, dribbling, rosy cheek-ed babies! Perhaps something they may not have considered before.

If you have any teething tips and tricks that you would like to contribute please feel free to e-mail them to me here, tweet them to me here, or post them to me here. I can't wait to have a list of weird and wonderful remedies to share with you!

Plenty of love...

  1. Our little man had two teeth by the time he was 15 weeks old! This made for a rather difficult teething experience as he was not quite coordinated enough to hold and chew teethers etc, nor was he a fan of cold anything ( teething rings, facewashers -you name it) he was in a lot of pain and the only thing that seemed to offer some relief was chewing on our fingers or grinding his dummy between his jaws! I decided to let my inner hippy roam free for a while and purchased an amber teething necklace as a last resort before panadol. Best thing ever. Don't know why it works, only that it does for little K and the difference is obvious if we remove it for any period of time. An added bonus? It looks super cute :)
