Another month, another handmade gift.

'Tis the season for children's birthday parties! Or so it feels. Stellas social life has been a whirlwind of busyness lately...she receives more Facebook invites and party summons in the mail than I do myself!

Our latest fairy bread experience was an hour out of town, for a sweet little girls second birthday.  I spent the night before crafting a card and colour co-ordinating my wrapping paper...after all, handmade gift giving is my favourite part about birthdays.




Have you received any sweet hand wrapped gifts lately? Or created a one-of-a-kind card? It doesn't mater how messy or imperfect a handmade card is, I love it so much more all the same!

Heartfelt touches

"To give handmade whenever possible..." Has been a mantra I am trying to live by lately. Not exactly a chore as I love crafting and creating, and even better when you can craft and create for someone you love! A handmade gift, or even little handmade gift wrapping touches to a bought present personalises the experience tenfold.

My latest gift giving venture was for a dear friend of mine turning 21. I baked her cupcakes and cookies and adorned them with handmade paper buntings. Her present? A store bought book on photography to fuel her passion for the camera, which I wrapped and decorated with homemade salt dough ornaments!

Small details giving big heartfelt touches.




I can't wait to share a salt dough DIY with you very shortly, little Stella and I have been busy rolling and cutting shapes to be baked for the past fortnight, it has become quite the addiction!

A touch of handmade

I love giving gifts, but love giving handmade even more. With one of Stellas handsome little friends turning 1 recently, it was the perfect opportunity for me to unleash some creativity on a handmade card and sweet wrapping. I'm quite happy with how it turned out and have pledged ever since to give only handmade cards and wrapping decorations.
